The Millennium development goals were officially established by the United Nations under the UN-secretary Kofi Annan in the year 2000 And involved the 193 united Nations member countries. It was set with the eight goals which includes;poverty And hunger eradication, Universal primary Education, gender equality And women empowerment, reducing maternal mortality, Reducing Child mortality, combating Hiv/Aids with malaria And other diseases, Environmental sustainability And Global partnership for development.
The main aim of the Millennium development goals was to encourage And improve the social, health, economic And educational sectors of developing countries. The millennium development goals actually evolves through the lives of every individual in every country especially the young people as they affect, define, influence And effect their lives as the case may be.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO),a young Person is any individual between the ages of 9-30years which makes up about 40% of any country's population.Every young person is entitled to quality education, adequate health care, favorable economic And environmental condition And gender equality. If proper knowledge is not instilled in any average young person,we would be faced with high crime rate, high maternal mortality And child mortality, decreased fertility rate, increased gender inequality, epidermic outburst of diseases like HIV/Aids, tuberculosis, malaria,Sexual transmitted diseases, teenage pregnancy And of course increase in Abortion rate.
Every country needs to understand that every young person who is in a stable economic, health And environmental condition will be faced by less societal related issues And this can primarily be achieved through education and giving them the correct information. It begins with the federal government, the state, the local government, the wards, the schools, the religious houses. it begins with you And me,it begins with us.
Remember,an educated youth,is a healthy youth And a healthy youth is a wealthy youth. Let's do it,we can!
Yes we can dear. An educative piece #kool#
